At least seven people were injured in a Sunday morning mass shooting at a spa in suburban Milwaukee, according to local media reports.
Police have gathered around the Azana Spa near the Brookfield Square Mall in Brookfield, Wis. The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department told the Associated Press that a shooter was still at large.
WISN-TV reported that four people were taken to a hospital with non-critical injuries and that three more were en route to a hospital. No casualties have been reported.
Witnesses told WISN-TV that shooting began inside Azana Spa sometime after 11 a.m. Central time.
Police, assembled in the parking lot outside the spa, have asked onlookers to clear the nearby mall parking lot. Local media avoided showing close shots of the spa for fear of interfering with possible ongoing police tactical operations.
The incident comes two months after the early August shooting at a Sikh temple in the Milwaukee area, in which a white supremacist shot and killed six Sikhs on a Sunday morning before being gunned down by police.
