The Hollywood Film Awards announced Thursday afternoon that the 2013 gala ceremony has been set for Oct. 21 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
The awards honor talent in front of and behind the camera. Over the last 10 years, 96 Oscar nominations and 34 Academy Awards were given to Hollywood Film Award honorees.
Hollywood’s A-listers turn out in force for the event. Among the Hollywood Film Award winners last year were the cast of the Oscar-winning best film, “Argo”; Quentin Tarantino, who went on to win the Oscar for his “Django Unchained” screenplay; and “Silver Linings Playbook” Academy Award nominees Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro and David O. Russell.
The criteria for the recipients are based on their body of work and/or one or more films that are to be released within the calendar year.
