New CW Network Signs Five Affiliates
The CW network said five independent TV station owners had signed on as affiliates when it launches in September. The addition of the stations means the Los Angeles-based CW -- a joint venture of CBS Corp. and Time Warner Inc.’s Warner Bros. Entertainment -- will reach at least 52% of the country.
The stations are owned by Winston Broadcasting Network in Cleveland; Emmis Communications in Orlando, Fla.; Capitol Broadcasting Co. in Charlotte, N.C.; Cascade Broadcasting Group in Louisville, Ky.; and Weigel Broadcasting Co. in South Bend, Ind.
