A New Perspective

Annabelle Gurwitch writes a humorous piece on tanning that is made all the more interesting by her inadvertent coining of a new term (“Spray It On,” Style, June 26). She writes that “a tan midrift is much better. . . .” Now, I know that some women’s midriffs drift south with time, but this word gives that a whole new perspective.
