Oregon State said Tuesday that Coach Jay John will sit out Thursday’s game against Arizona State and perhaps Saturday against Arizona while he is treated for hypertension.
John, 46, was hospitalized Saturday night in Seattle after leaving the Beavers’ 108-68 loss to Washington at halftime because of chest pains and shortness of breath. He was released Sunday.
