Colburn Faculty Set Free Recital
Beginning a new Distinguished Faculty Recital series, the Colburn School of Performing Arts presents 15 members of its faculty in a free performance of an all American program, Sunday at 3 p.m. in Zipper Hall at the school, 200 S. Grand Ave., downtown Los Angeles.
Performing will be violinist Chan-Ho Yun, pianists David Pocock, Roberta Garten, Ann Kleinsasser, Donald Vega, Kathy Sawads and Jeff Lavner, singer Michael Stevens, trumpeter Darren Mulder, cellists Ronald Leonard and Richard Naill, bassist David Young, guitarist Kenton Youngstrom, tap dancer Alfred Desio and flutist Karen Lundgren.
Composers represented in the program include Ives, Leonard Bernstein, Stevens, Barber, Foss, Rzewski, and George Crumb.
