Puppet King
I enjoyed “It’s a Theatrical World, After All” (by Susan Freudenheim, Oct. 8) about the most complex Broadway musicals in history. But, regarding “The Lion King,” the article failed to mention Julie Taymor’s co-designer, Michael Curry, who was also responsible for the stylized imagery and distinctive puppetry and masks.
I believe Curry is the most inventive and creative artist in the world of puppetry and needs to be recognized for his stunning imagination.
