Outfest to Survey Gay, Lesbian Films
Outfest, the gay and lesbian film festival, will celebrate National Coming Out Day on Wednesday at the Village at the Ed Gould Plaza, 1125 N. McCadden Place, with “Absolut Best,” a look back at the 20th century’s most popular films depicting lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender lives. The films were chosen through a survey, organized by GLAAD and sponsored by Absolut vodka, in which 23,000 people voted.
Hosted by Comedy Central’s Frank DeCaro, the program will feature clips from “Gods and Monsters,” “Philadelphia,” “Longtime Companion” and “The Crying Game.”
