Already Seen It
I won’t be spending any money to see the Tom Hanks film “Cast Away” because I’ve already seen it for free, thanks to the movie’s preview now in the theaters.
The trailer showed me Hanks’ life before, during and after he got marooned on the island. I saw all the plot and subplot points. I saw how he got marooned, how he kept his sanity through imaginary friends, his near-death experiences, how he got off the island, and even the pinnacle moment when he greets his wife after being given up for dead years before.
Why would I spend eight bucks to see it again after I’ve already seen every important moment?
