Paramount Promotes Goldwyn
Paramount elevated production chief John Goldwyn to the new position of president of motion pictures, paving the way for executive Michelle Manning to be named later as head of production.
Under a new five-year deal, Goldwyn will continue reporting to Sherry Lansing, who heads the studio as chairman of the Paramount Pictures Motion Picture Group.
Goldwyn is from one of Hollywood’s best-known families. His grandfather was legendary filmmaker Samuel Goldwyn, one of the founders of MGM. His father, Samuel Goldwyn Jr., is the head of Samuel Goldwyn Co., now owned by billionaire John Kluge. His brother is actor Tony Goldwyn.
