Capital Cities/ABC Inc. to Buy Second L.A. Radio Station: The company said it has agreed to purchase KMPC-AM from Golden West Broadcasters. Terms of the sale were not disclosed. New York-based Capital Cities owns the ABC television network and 18 other radio stations, including KABC-AM in Los Angeles. A spokesman said it is too early to say if any format changes will be made at KMPC, an all-sports station. Golden West Broadcasters is owned by onetime entertainer and current California Angels baseball team owner Gene Autry and his wife, Jackie. The deal is subject to Federal Communications Commission approval.
