COMMUTER ASSISTANCE
* The Metropolitan Transportation Authority has created a new bus line for Westside commuters, Line 644, an express bus service that connects the Westside and Downtown on weekdays.
Eastbound bus service originates from a commuter parking lot on Constitution Avenue west of Sepulveda Boulevard beginning at 5:45 a.m. Buses depart every 15 minutes until 8:45 a.m.
Westbound service starts from Temple and San Pedro streets downtown beginning at 3:30 p.m. and runs until 6:30 p.m. at 15-minute intervals. The fare is $1.50 each way. MTA passes will be accepted. Information: (800) 252-7433.
