NBC and Time Warner Cable in Agreement: Time Warner Cable and NBC said they have reached an agreement that grants Time Warner Cable the right to continue carrying the signals of television stations owned and operated by NBC. As part of the agreement, Time Warner Cable has agreed to launch “America’s Talking,” a new cable program to be produced by NBC. NBC station affiliates will have the option to provide local inserts into the show, creating a basis on which they can reach their own retransmission consent agreements with Time Warner, the companies said. Time Warner Cable also agreed to renew and extend carriage of CNBC, NBC’s business and talk channel.
