Cable Operator, Cap Cities and Hearst Reach Accord: Continental Cablevision Inc., the country’s third-largest cable TV operator, has reached a six-year agreement with Capital Cities/ABC Inc. and Hearst Corp. to carry all TV stations owned by each company. The agreement, which stems from new federal regulations allowing broadcasters to charge cable TV systems for carrying their signals, also calls for Continental to carry ESPN-2, a new cable TV sports network set to premiere this fall, which is owned by Capital Cities/ABC and Hearst.
