Daltrey, ‘Tommy’ on TV: Roger Daltrey, lead singer for the legendary rock group the Who, will introduce the screen adaptation of the Who’s classic rock opera, “Tommy,” on July 22 as part of Turner Network Television’s weekly “Our Favorite Movies: Summer Edition.” Others in the series include New York Yankees President George Steinbrenner introducing “The Pride of the Yankees,” starring Gary Cooper as baseball hero Lou Gehrig, on July 8; film director Martin Scorsese introducing David Lean’s Oscar-winning epic “Lawrence of Arabia” on Aug. 11, and actor John Goodman introducing James Dean’s classic “Rebel Without a Cause” on Sept. 9.
