Blockbuster Executive Leaving: In a surprise move, Mark S. Siegel has abruptly resigned as head of the domestic music division for Blockbuster video store chain to form a private consulting firm in Beverly Hills. The firm, Remy Investors & Consultants, will specialize in entertainment, media and retail work. A former entertainment lawyer, Siegel joined Blockbuster as a result of the acquisition of the Music Plus and Sound Warehouse chains from Burbank-based Shamrock Holdings, the investment arm of the Roy E. Disney family. Siegel will continue to serve as a special consultant to Blockbuster on the music industry.
