Dick Clark Productions Reports $76,000 Loss

Dick Clark Productions Inc. reported a fiscal first-quarter loss of $76,000, compared with year-earlier loss of $404,000, as its revenue jumped 87% to $9.27 million from $4.97 million.

The Burbank-based television production concern said the narrower loss in the quarter ended Sept. 30 reflected the company’s delivery of a movie for television and higher production work at its corporate events subsidiary.

Among other things, Dick Clark in the latest quarter produced “The Jim Thorpe Pro Sports Awards” show in association with Ken Wolfe Productions for broadcast on ABC, the company said.
