Marisol Garcia, a recent graduate of Mountain View High School in El Monte, has been awarded the $500 Mountain View School District Migrant Education Scholarship. The award is given to a graduating senior who went through the migrant program in elementary and secondary school.
Garcia, who was a member of the band, is a psychology major at San Diego State University.
