ACE-ed Out: The National Academy of Cable Programming has changed the name of its annual awards for original cable programming from ACE to CableACE. The switch ends confusion between the cable award and the American Cinema Editors, which for years has used the ACE acronym. The film editors had filed a suit in Los Angeles Superior Court last year seeking an injunction barring the cable academy from using ACE.
