Canada Ballet Casts Announced
The National Ballet of Canada has announced casting for the the company’s Oct. 8-13 engagement at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa. Opening Tuesday with a mixed repertory program, the company ends its engagement with five performances of “The Merry Widow.”
The casting, subject to change:
* Tuesday at 8 p.m.: “Concerto for Flute and Harp” (Cranko/Mozart): Margaret Illman, Chan Hon Goh, Jeremy Ransom, Pierre Quinn. “Musings” (Kudelka/Mozart): Karen Kain, Serge Lavoie, Goh, Julia Vilen, Jennifer Fournier, Peter Ottmann, Clinton Luckett. “the second detail” (Forsythe/Willems): company.
* Wednesday at 8 p.m.: “Concerto”: Yseult Lendvai, Pamela Place, Robert Tewsley, Luckett. “Musings”: same as on Oct. 8. “the second detail”: company.
* Next Thursday at 8 p.m.: “The Merry Widow,” (Hynd/Lehar): Kain, Rex Harrington, Illman, Raymond Smith.
* Oct. 11 at 8 p.m. and Oct. 13, at 2 p.m.: Martine Lamy, Gregory Osborne, Goh, Ransom.
* Oct. 12 at 2 p.m.: Kain, Harrington, Sarah Green, Pierre Quinn.
* Oct. 12 at 8 p.m.: Gizella Witkowsky, Lavoie, Caroline Richardson, Ottmann.
