Barris Industries Has New Name: The Los Angeles-based entertainment company announced that it has changed its name to Guber-Peters Entertainment Co. Headed by Peter Guber and Jon Peters, the company produced “Batman,” “Rain Man” and “Gorillas in the Mist.” Its stock, which has traded on the NASDAQ over-the-counter market under Barris (BRRS), will be listed under the new company name and a new ticker symbol, GPEC, effective today.
