Tackle Darren Gilbert, a former Cal State Fullerton player, has been hospitalized because of a lung infection, the New Orleans Saints said. Doctors at Ochsner Foundation Hospitals in New Orleans have not said when Gilbert will be released, and he may remain hospitalized through the weekend, a spokesman said. Gilbert was the Saints’ No. 2 draft choice in 1985.
