The auditorium of the New York high school that Broadway star Ethel Merman attended will be named after her tonight during intermission of a student production of “Gypsy.” Merman, who died in 1984, was known as Ethel Zimmermann in the class of 1924 at William Cullen Bryant High School in Queens.
