Siroon Mangurian; Mezzo-Soprano, Ceramist
Siroon Mangurian, 83, a mezzo-soprano who enjoyed a career on Los Angeles operatic stages in the 1930s but then began creating ceramic vessels in ethnic styles and stylized figures of owls and faceless people which proved popular in La Cienega galleries. Miss Mangurian, a native of Armenia, performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and with the old Los Angeles Grand Opera. In Redondo Beach on April 13.
