Mischa the Bear, the costumed Russian mascot, will greet Mickey Mouse when he appears next month in the Soviet Union for the first time as part of a joint celebration of his 60th birthday and a special film festival sponsored by the U.S.S.R.’s commission of cinematography. Roy E. Disney, vice chairman of the Walt Disney Co., will head a contingent of studio executives who will spend two weeks in Moscow, Leningrad and Tallinn, Estonia, meeting with top Soviet film makers and animators. “We’re proud to be a part of a festival that signals a mutual desire to encourage cultural exchanges between our two countries and explore a wide range of entertainment-related business topics,” said Disney. As part of the festival, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” “Fantasia,” “Bambi” and “101 Dalmatians” will be given their first theatrical exhibition to the Soviet public.
