Local News in Brief : Garden Grove : Job-Training Center Wins $10,000 Award

A Southeast Asian job training organization recently was awarded $10,000 from the National Education Corp. as the “Most Unique Community Service Program.” The money will be used to hire a Cambodian counselor to expand the outreach program of Community Resources Opportunity Project Inc., an information, counseling and job-training center in Garden Grove. The project, now in its fifth year, helps with resettlement of Southeast Asian refugees and immigrants.
