Bill Mechanic has been named president of Walt Disney Co. international theatrical distribution and worldwide video, succeeding Harry Archinal, the foreign distribution executive who recently announced his retirement.
Mechanic, who joined Disney in 1984 from Paramount Pictures, will continue to be responsible for worldwide home video and pay television, the company said.
