Pasadena : PCC Budget Shows Increase
The Pasadena City College Board of Trustees has adopted a $66-million budget for the 1987-88 school year, more than $6 million higher than last year. A school spokesman said the increase was allocated by the state as a result of legislation that has boosted community college funding for average daily attendance. PCC’s enrollment of 22,000 is slightly higher than last year’s.
Most of the budget increase will be spent on a 4% salary hike for all employees, approved by the board Aug. 20. PCC has 350 faculty members and 350 other employees.
