WEEKEND BOX OFFICE
The summer box office continued strong over the weekend, with Orion’s “RoboCop”--a film with much violence and a high body count--doing surprisingly well in its debut. The shocker, to industry analysts, is Warners’ “Innerspace,” which was widely predicted to do well but which has fallen flat; the film’s business has dropped almost 30% since last week, and is playing in 60 fewer theaters.
