UC San Diego Tuesday canceled the sold-out Beastie Boys’ show scheduled for Sunday at the university gymnasium. UCSD officials cited reports from other U.S. tour dates that the white New York rap band trashed hotel rooms, incited fights with security guards and hurled beer cans into crowds as reasons for the cancellation. The group’s Saturday show at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles was still scheduled, however.
