Faye Dunaway joins Mickey Rourke in Cannon’s “Barfly,” playing an alcoholic lover to his drunken poet-writer who explores the streets of L.A. Scripted by poet-writer Charles Bukowski, it’s somewhat autobiographical. It begins shooting in January. . . . Linda Kelsey and Inga Swenson play Lee Remick’s sisters in the true life murder mini-series “Nutcracker,” now shooting in town. . . . John Saxon returns as the cop who challenges Freddy the hand-clawed killer in “Nightmare On Elm Street III: The Dream Warriors,” currently racking up corpses around the city. . . . Rock stars lock horns and hopefully not stomachs with The Fat Boys in “The Disorderlies.” The Beach Boys are customers in a pizza store, Helen Reddy’s a socialite and Rick Nielsen (of Cheap Trick) is a car theft victim in the feature film scheduled for a summer release. . . . Angel Tompkins is a health spa owner who ends up shooting Ann-Margret’s ex-husband in the foot in “A Tiger’s Tale,” filming in Houston. . . . Teen throb Ryan Lambert is a junior high student who kills the Mummy, the Wolf Man and many vampire brides (but not on school hours) in “Monster Squad,” now filming in L.A. . . . Tanya Tucker plays an entertainer who’s the target of a drug gang in an episode of “Downtown.”
