Canada: Kids ski and stay free at Big White
- Share via
Families can save some greenbacks on spring break with a ski vacation at Big White Ski Resort near Kelowna, British Columbia.
From March 1 to April 13, Big White is offering a deal in which kids 12 and under can ski and stay for free. Families will receive a complimentary child lift ticket with each adult pass purchased.
Big White is British Columbia’s second-largest resort after Whistler and has the most ski-in, ski-out accommodations in Canada.
From March 10-25, youngsters and their parents (or grandparents) can enjoy an outdoor barbecue on sunny days in the village plaza.
After a day on the slopes or at ski school, kids can visit Big White’s Happy Valley, where they can join a hockey game on the giant outdoor ice rink, try their hand at climbing a 60-foot ice tower, head out on a sleigh or dog sled ride, or enjoy the mountain views while indulging in a Belgian waffle and hot chocolate at the lodge.
In the evenings, family activities include fireworks displays, bonfire parties and carnival nights.
Info: For details visit the Big White home page or call (800) 663-2772. The spring break special code is OA/1213.
