Mediterranean: $5,499 each for Rome-Istanbul cruise and airfare
Those looking for a last-minute Mediterranean cruise with some sweet savings may want to check out a seven-night sailing in the fall from Rome to Istanbul aboard the Seven Seas Voyager. The small-ship cruise offers a special rate of $5,499 a person for a limited time.
The Classical Havens cruise begins in Rome and proceeds to Italian ports in Capri and Sicily then on to Olympia and Santorini in Greece and Ephesus in Turkey before ending in Istanbul. There are more than 20 free shore excursions that come with the sailing on the ship, which holds just 700 passengers.
The deal: To get the offer, call the cruise line or a travel agent and mention “Special Promotion.” It applies to F Deluxe Suite cabins and is less than half the cost of the advertised brochure rate. A company spokeswoman confirmed there’s availability for this deal, if travelers ask for the special promotion when they book.
Date: The cruise departs Oct. 24, but reservations must be made by June 30 to take advantage of the special fare.
Price: $5,499 per person, double occupancy. It includes round-trip airfare to and from Los Angeles, a cabin with balcony, unlimited beverages (including wine and spirits), free shore excursions, onboard gratuities.
