Web Buzz: Save time transferring images, video with PhotoSync app
- Share via
Here’s a time-saving app that allows you to transfer photos and videos to various devices using wireless.
Name: PhotoSync
Available for: iPhone and iPad
What it does: Wirelessly transfers photos, using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, to and from your computer, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Flickr.
Cost: $1.99
What’s hot: Put away your cords. I love being able to upload my photos from my iPhone to my computer without having to attach the cord and go through the sync process. You can transfer all your photos or select the ones you want. PhotoSync even keeps track of photos you’ve already downloaded so you can access the new photos on your next use. Plus, you don’t have to use your own computer — a great tool for travelers.
What’s not: If you haven’t already upgraded your iPhone to iOS 4.2 you’ll have to do so before downloading the app. There are two ways to transfer to your computer. You can open a Web browser and enter a URL, or download PhotoSync software (for both Macs and PCs) from the website. I found the former simpler.
Worth it: Yes, even if PhotoSync were double the price.
