Salinas Wild Things holiday tour
See elephants by flashlight when Wild Things in Salinas offers nighttime tours of its exotic-animal facility. Wild Things, which began as a training and rental facility for animals used in film and TV, now has 100-plus animals, offers tours and has a B&B. Holiday flashlight tours of the decorated compound include cookies and hot chocolate, a snapshot with reindeer and a visit with Santa.
When, where: Dec. 8, 14 to 16, 21 to 23 and 27 at the facility at 400 River Road, Salinas.
Cost: $15; ages 14 and younger, $13.
