Where to see lots of baby animals
Here are some of the zoos known for conservation and breeding efforts:
Wild Animal Park, 15500 San Pasqual Valley Road, Escondido; (760) 747-8702, https://www.sandiegozoo.org/park. Adults (12 and older) $37, children (3-11) $27. Parking $9. Two-hour photo caravan tour $90 for adults and children 8 and older and includes giraffe and rhino feeding.
San Diego Zoo (35 miles from the Wild Animal Park), 2920 Zoo Drive in Balboa Park, San Diego; (619) 231-1515, https://www.sandiegozoo.org. Admission same as Wild Animal Park (above).
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, 551 Rainforest Road, Lake Buena Vista, Fla.; (407) 824-2222, disneyworld.disney.go.com/parks/animal-kingdom. Adults (10 and older) $79; children (3-9) $68 (not including taxes).
Indianapolis Zoo, 1200 W. Washington St., Indianapolis; (317) 630-2001, https://www.indianapoliszoo.com. Adults (13 and older) $14.50; seniors (62 and older) and youth (2-12): $9.50.
