Youth Scene: Yankees upend Nationals
The Yankees used a complete team effort Monday to post a big victory over the Nationals in Ocean View Little League Major Division action.
Every Yankee had a hit or scored in a 14-3 win that put them at 6-1. Jake Alvarez, Dominic Riola and Dylan Villanueva each had two hits. Van Harmon scored a team-high three runs and Sam Shuart-Janes and Matt Jones both scored twice.
The bottom-half of the Yankee batting order combined for 10 of the Yankees’ runs.
Micah Kennedy led the Nationals (3-4) offense with two hits and a run.
