L.A.’s Habité showroom has a 20th century feel
A favorite of residential decorators, including Madeline Stuart and Joe Nye, the San Francisco antique atelier Habité has opened a Los Angeles showroom. “It’s a little more 20th century French and Continental design,” says Kimberly Denman, partner in the venture with Habité founder Laurent Rebuffel. The inventory covers a range of styles, including sleek leather and rosewood lounge chairs by Brazilian designer Sergio Rodrigues, 1960s neo-Baroque bronze dining chairs, 17th century pillars and mirrored bronze horns and jawbones by contemporary sculptor Adam P. Gale. 145 N. La Brea Ave., Los Angeles; (323) 692-0023; www.habite.com. For a photo gallery of the store, click here.
