Former Trojan Nelson Agholor will not be charged in sexual assault
Former USC wide receiver Nelson Agholor will not be charged with a crime following accusations that he sexually assaulted a dancer at a Philadelphia club in June, Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams announced on Monday.
In a statement, the district attorney’s office said it and the Philadelphia Police Department had “thoroughly investigated the allegations of sexual assault against Nelson Agholor.”
The investigation, the statement said, found “that we lacked sufficient evidence to bring charges against Mr. Agholor.”
A dancer at the Cheerleaders Gentlemen’s Club in Philadelphia said Agholor sexually assaulted her in early June.
Agholor, who is now a receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles, left USC in 2014 after his junior season.
The Eagles open their training camp next week.
