Angels pitcher C.J. Wilson goes for a wild ride
C.J. Wilson might be a bit of a thrill seeker when it comes to terra firma, but don’t expect him to try his hand at piloting stunt planes.
The Angels starter recently went for a wild ride with world champion air race pilot Kirby Chambliss and managed to not make a mess of things in the cockpit despite the best efforts of the renowned aerobatics ace.
Chambliss actually quizzed Wilson on some easy baseball questions while executing some gravity-defying tricks in mid-air that only a Vomit Comet veteran could probably withstand without getting sick.
Wilson’s strength of mind-over-stomach allowed him to answer four of the five questions correctly, but the final in-air trick was just barely enough for him to swallow.
Hopefully, he won’t have any gut-wrenching moments while on the mound for the Angels in 2014.
