The Lakers added their 13th player last week, signing rookie guard Jordan Clarkson to a two-year contract.
Clarkson agreed to a two-year, minimum deal for a total of $1.4 million, with the first season fully guaranteed.
The team is still looking to add to the roster, auditioning forward Michael Beasley for a second time, along with a number of available free agents.
Thus far, the Lakers haven’t convinced oddsmakers -- gambling website Bovada gave the franchise 66-1 odds for the 2014-15 NBA title.
Meanwhile, the D-Fenders hired Phil Hubbard to coach the Lakers’ D-League affiliate.
Former Laker Darius Morris, recently signed to a training camp contract with the Portland Trail Blazers, called Kobe Bryant “one of the best” teammates he’s ever had.
Jeremy Lin helped unveil his wax likeness at Madame Tussauds in San Francisco.
