The Miami Dolphins unveiled their new logo Wednesday, part of a redesign to give the team a fresh look next season.
The Dolphins have also designed new uniforms, but those won’t be unveiled until April 25.
The new logo features a more realistic looking Dolphin, and he’s not wearing a helmet anymore. (That was the best part of the old logo.)

However, probably the two biggest names in Dolphins history tweeted their approval of the new look.
First, Dan Marino:
Saw the new @miamidolphins logo. Followed the development stage & now its great to see the finished product. #NewEraNewLook #13Approved — Dan Marino (@DanMarino) March 27, 2013
Next, Don Shula:
Glad to see the new logo for @miamidolphins has all the same colors from our great 70’s & 80’s teams. A new look for a new era. Go Dolphins! — Don Shula (@DonShula) March 27, 2013
I think what may be most surprising is that Shula has a Twitter account. Is there anyone in the U.S. who does not have one?
