But he didn’t get any sympathy from the crowd at Kauffman Stadium -- in fact, those folks likely had a lot to do with the 0-for-10 performance of the defending Derby champion.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;The &amp;lt;runtime:topic id=”ORSPT000205”&amp;gt;New York Yankees&amp;lt;/runtime:topic&amp;gt; second baseman was booed relentlessly starting the first time he was shown on the big screen during batting practice, with the jeers turning to cheers only when Cano recorded an out. But when he made his final picks, Cano instead went with the Angels’ &amp;lt;runtime:topic id=”PESPT000010468”&amp;gt;Mark Trumbo&amp;lt;/runtime:topic&amp;gt;, Detroit’s &amp;lt;runtime:topic id=”PESPT000010042”&amp;gt;Prince Fielder&amp;lt;/runtime:topic&amp;gt; and Toronto’s &amp;lt;runtime:topic id=”PESPT000009894”&amp;gt;Jose Bautista&amp;lt;/runtime:topic&amp;gt;.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Bautista has 27 home runs this season, tied for best in the majors. Trumbo has 22, tied for sixth in the AL, and Fielder has 15, tied for 18th.
