Citi donates $500,000 to U.S. Olympic Committee for new program
Citi will donate $500,000 to the U.S. Olympic Committee for a program that helps nationwide Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls.
Various 2012 Olympic qualifiers and hopefuls were named to “Team Citi” and represent different sports programs. Fans determine how the funds are allocated through social media.
There are 13 participants, including Bob and Mike Bryan (2008 Olympic bronze medalists in doubles tennis), Dominique Dawes (three-team Olympian in gymnastics who won gold in 1996 and bronze in 1992, 1996 and 2000) and Rowdy Gaines (three-time Olympic gold medalist in 1984 in swimming).
