Track: Sherman Oaks Notre Dame relay team turns on the speed
The Sherman Oaks Notre Dame 4x400 relay team ran a state-best clocking of 3:17.57 seconds at the Redondo Invitational.
Running on the team were Tyler Asemota, Anthony Chaidez, Leo Lambert and Austin Lietz. And the Knights didn’t even have one of their best runners, CJ Hicks, who was visiting MIT.
Flintridge Prep distance start Jack Van Scoter had a state-best time of 9:09.75 in the 3,200.
Ariyonna Augustine of Long Beach Poly ran 11.71 in the girls’ 100.
Big meets coming up this weekend include the Maurice Greene Invitational at Oaks Christian and the California Relays at Cerritos College.
