Track: CIF will modify schedule for state championships because of heat

The CIF announced Tuesday that in anticipation of excessive heat expected for this weekend’s state championships in Clovis, there will be schedule changes.
Triple-digit temperatures are projected for Friday and Saturday.
The state championships will be held at Buchanan High School. The first running events were scheduled for 5 p.m. on Friday and 6 p.m. on Saturday.
The CIF is working with meet management and the Clovis Unified School District on modifying the schedule on both days. A complete schedule will be announced on Wednesday by 5 p.m.
