For the third consecutive season, Narbonne and Fairfax will face off in the City Section Division I girls’ basketball championship game.
In Saturday’s semifinals, TyBriann Jones scored 17 points and La’Tecia Smith had 13 points in Narbonne’s 52-37 win over Palisades. Kylie Bethel scored 15 points for Palisades.
Fairfax, seeded No. 1, knocked off Granada Hills, 44-33. Marguerite Effa scored 16 points.
Fairfax has lost each of the last two seasons in the final to the Gauchos, but Coach Judi Edwards seems confident her team can end the drought next Saturday at 6 p.m. at L.A. Southwest College.
