Girls’ basketball: Chelsey Gipson of Palisades is City Section player of the year

Junior guard Chelsey Gipson of Palisades has been selected the City Section player of the year in girls’ basketblal.

Gipson helped lead the Dolphins to the Open Division title.

Five leagues did not submit all-league selections to the City Section office, making players not eligible for All-City selection, according to spokesman Dick Dornan.
