Football: Standout running back Drake Beasley could be leaving Loyola
- Share via
Drake Beasley of Loyola, one of the top running backs in the Southland, is no longer attending practices for the Cubs and could be leaving the school.
“He was at practice on Tuesday and hasn’t been to practice since,” Loyola Coach Marvin Sanders said.
Beasley is a senior with more than a dozen college scholarship offers.
La Canada is the likely destination.
In more transfer news, Kyle Stanback, a sophomore lineman from St Francis, has enrolled at Calabasas. He’s the younger brother of basketball standouts Chace and Trevor Stanback.
Update: Beasley enrolled at La Canada on Monday. It will be interesting to see whether Loyola allows the transfer without protesting.
