Football: South Gate appeal is denied; Rams will miss playoffs

A City Seciton appeals panel has rejected South Gate’s attempt to be allowed to participate in this season’s Division I football playoffs.
City Section Commissioner John Aguirre banned the Rams from the playoffs after several ineligible players were discovered for the second time in three seasons.
South Gate will play its final game tonight. South Gate had been 2-0 in the Eastern League until having to forfeit victories.
